These calipers divide a distance into (up to) 10 equal-length segments (any number up to 10)
They can divides distances from 3.2 inches to 10.4 inches… the smallest segment distance is 0.32 of an inch to 1.04 inches change to mm.
They are used for navigation and cartography – also useful for designers and artists for creating perspectives etc.
